The Harbormaster is the Chief of Police and the Public Safety Director. All assistants are Police Officers and the Harbors Department is a function of the Ipswich Police Department. Ipswich has twenty seven miles of coastline, but has no public facilities, save gas and diesel fuel at the Ipswich Bay Yacht Club. Most of our boaters from out of town find a place to anchor and enjoy some of the most pristine coastline in the area.
